Open flip picture

How do I get the picture changed on the V3M . Example when I open the flip. I get a picture with verizon picture on it. How can I change this

Your talking about the verizon logo on the outside screen when it's flipped open.

Here is a link to the howto section of Mark Ventures web site. He's got a whole lot of info.

The second #40 has info about changing the logo on the open phone.

To change your phones wallpaper:
1) Press OK
2) Use the navigation keys to select settings & tools.
3)Select Display and press OK key.
4) Select wallpaper & press the OK key.

Yea, I think drgonzo is right...i think the OP was asking how to change the image on the OUTSIDE of the lcd screen. I hink most people know how to change a wallpaper.

But to change the verizon image on the outisde lcd while the flip is open:

Most people who actually take the time to read the manual that comes with the phone maybe. But I know allot of people that don't read their Motorola handset manual because is to hard for them to understand it.
It would be nice if the OP would post again and be more specific with his question so that members on here don't have to guess what he is trying to ask.

I thank you for the information. I try to go to p2k seem edit to offset 006a to enable the bit 0. When I try to enable this and save it to my phone it will not save. I restart the phone and load from phone. It shows me that offset 006a is disabled still. Is there something I am doing wrong.

Are u sure u are hitting save to PHONE and not save to FILE?

Yes. I have tried that many times. I made sure I was pushing the correct push button

I followed the instructions at the above link and now I have a blank white screen when open and the verizon logo when closed and a blank white screen for the wallpaper! Help, what went wrong?

Sorry for quoting myself but editing doesn't seem to be an option on this forum.

I was able to restore to the "verizon" screen.

Is there a file size limit, I noticed the verizon gif is something like 1973, even after resizing the pictures I wanted to use to 96x80 the file sizes were between 3000 and 12000. could this be part of the problem? Also bitpim regognizes my phone as a V3c not V3m this may be due to seem edits I've done in the past. Could this be a problem as well? Any info you have on this topic would be appreciated.

I've found this to be the best, most reliable, way to change the outer picture on a V3m. I used Motorola Software Update instead of PST 7.2.3 and it worked perfectly.........
