When I plug in my Sprint V3m, it loads some drivers but stalls because it cannot find the "Motorola Communication Interface", what am I doing wrong? I have MPT and updated to v2.36.

| You need to update it to 4.36c. And also, make sure your phone software is fully updated as well..

I was using the latest v4.36, and after 6 uninstalls, I stumped Motorola tech, they sent me the handset USB drivers only, and that did the trick. If any needs this file let me know. It's sweet and it works.

Hello, That's exactly what I think I need. Every time I plug in my Sprint V3m I get that "Motorola Communication Interface" problem. Yikes! Can you email me the usb drivers you have? Thanks. |

The sprint v3m doesnt require seem edits to install ringtones. Just an updated phone software, and an updated version of MPT (4.36) and you are good to go. Seem edits to enable ringtones are for Verizon only.

The phone update? If so, go into main menu->phone info->software Or something along those lines. You can update the phone's software over the air. It doesnt use minutes or anything, and will take about 5 minutes. |

Ahhhh. You need to install and run Motorola Software Updater (MSU). Then open the program, connect the phone, and it will install the MCI among other drivers on your comp. Then u should be able to use MPT. Download MSU here -> http://hacktherazr.com/app/hacktherazr.com--MSU.exe |
