And where are these files being put? Into your ringtone folder? Into the audio folder? Into the my_music folder? I dont have a Sprint V3M, so I dont know exactly how the file system is set up. Typically, they need to be in wma format. If they arent, a lot of the times when they are transferred, they get turned into .qcp files, which the phone doesnt play very well, therefore they get muffled. Give me some more details so we can figure out why.

Cincy, When i open MPT and click on File Transfer Studio i see the following folders: audio ---conversations ---voicerecords incamcorder incamera mixedmedia MMC(removable) ---DCIM ------image ---motorola ------temp ---Music (contains AllMyMusic.m3u) I don't see a my_music folder and have not been able to place a WMV file in any location besides the MMC(Removable) folder. Do you have any ideas on where i can place .wmv files on the phone like when you describe the My_music folder in other postings? Thanks, TS Last edited by rollotono; 12-18-2006 at 11:48 PM. Thats a heck of a question. Sprint has things very different from vzw. So what goes in that last folder? I dont see any other place like u said to put your music.

Well at the end of the day it's not big deal since i don't see myself using the phone as a replacement for an MP3 player. It's just disappointing since the phone does have the memory card which is expandable to at least 1gb, and if you choose to buy the special headphone adapter (which stinks) then i suppose it would do just fine as a alternative to a full blown MP3 player. So I've been able to copy MP3 files to the Audio folder for ringtones and manage my address book contacts. Those are two primary reasons i purchased MPT - so anything else i can do will be gravy on top. Hopefully we'll figure out how to get WMA files playing properly and make everyone who has Sprint as cool as the Verizon users Thanks for your help throughout the process. |
