After stupidly purchasing the Motorola phone tools thinking it would be a one stop application for "phone things" such as listed below I was very happy. then only to find out that verizon has kindly "disabled" all the.. how shall we say.... things I wanted to do with the phone like wallpaper, ringtones, music, etc. Not sure if I really wanna spend half a day trying to get the PST, start hacking seems etc.. The bluetooth function on the Verizon RAZR tells you what kind of bluetooth profiles it supports.

LOL which is exactly what I wanted to do. I've been reading your thread about the seems. I am not sure Mine works, Is there a way to check the version of the p2kseem.exe ? I never see anything appear in the white box. It does say that is is connected however. and I do get a blue background on my phone with light dots in when it is connected.

Make sure you have MSU open and running BEFORE you open p2kseem and keep it open WHILE running it.

You have it backwards, lol. You need to have MSU (Motorola Software Updater) open. MPT is Motorola Phone Tools.

Seems like I need to get a hold of MSU. I don't have that yet. I was able ironically to transfer a WMA file to the phone.. Shockingly easy with media player 10. Dumb question here and I will try to figure it out... Can ringtones be in WMA format?? thanks for all your help thus far :-) |

Ringtones have to be MP3 format. You can download MSU and any other programs you may still need here. http://hacktherazr.com/downloads.html |
