Default Tethering with a V3m - confused?

I have been reading these threads and the more I read the more confused I get.

I am getting the V3m next week. I want to be able to tether it to my laptop occasionaly for internet. I also would like to be able to use BitPim and transfer wallpapers, etc. I have no interest at this time in music. I have the USB cable already.

Can someone tell me what steps or programs I have to do or install to enable tethering? And keep it simple so I can understand? Is it just one process or a series? I can always look up the details of each step. But what steps? For example (in no particular order) :

1. Install xxxxxx program
2. plug in USB cable
3 do this
4. do that.

Its not just as simple as a checklist, but I will do my best.

1) Download and install USB drivers - DriverTool4.21a
2) Download and install MSU
3) Download and install P2Kseem (both programs can be found at the site linked in step 4)
4) Follow this guide to set up your phone as a modem

Note: You will need to perform some seem edits (this will void your warranty and could brick your phone if done incorrectly).

As for BitPim, this is simple. Once you have your usb drivers and the program, you should be able to figure it out with simple research.

There are online guides with your company that show you how to setup your phone as a tether modem. Reference them for help.
