Anyone figure out how to turn off that annoying low battery beep? (Don't say charge before getting a low battery..) I've tried setting reminders to off or vibrate but that doesn't seem to do anything. If my phone is in loud, soft, or vibrate then ring ring style, it beeps every 5 minutes or so. If it is in vibrate, it vibrates every 5 minutes (even further killing the battery.) I've gotten all the regular stuff to work (seems,MPT,etc.) but haven't seen anyway to modify this... And this beeping is driving me crazy!! Thanks! |

my V3 lasts the whole day (atleast about 6 hours) with that extremely annoying "Low Battery" beep every 5 or so minutes. I would have ALOT to gain in disabling it... like my sanity If anyone can help it will much appreciated Thanks | |

After some digging, it seems that one (the only?) way to get rid of this low battery alarm is to flash to the alltel firmware. However, this is one mod that I'm not quite comfortable making since it seems the alltel mod is still a bit buggy.... alas. my sanity will have to wait. |

This also drives me crazy. My phone will beep every 5 minutes for 24 hours and the noise can't be disabled (although I can change the sound it makes when I get an incoming fax!) The software on the Verizon RAZR is so bad the phone is almost unusable. I'm going to give mine up as soon as my contract is up. I was warned before I got one but I figured the phone has been around so long that surely they must have fixed these problems by now. That's not the case. Yes, you can flash it but then you can't *228 to update. OD. |

I generally like to run the battery all the way down before recharging. I realize we've progressed from the days to NiCad's but I do think the newer batteries still suffer some memory effect. Plus I just find it very annoying that I can't shut the phone up without completely silencing it. The other thing that can be annoying is even if the phone is on vibrate, it will make noise every 5 minutes, when plugged in if you miss a cal or get a SMS. So if this happens in the middle of teh night one has to get up up and address it. I should probably bite the bullet and do the alltel flash. OD. |
