| First, welcome to WA. Did you read thru the whole thread? In here is the usb drivers. I will attach them again below. Connect your phone, run the DriverTool4.21a. When it looks for the driver, let windows choose automatically. It will install as a v3c, that is okay.

| Quick update for the Sprint V3m razr. Hey! With more pain and issues than i care to go into (including registry edits, then manual file copies, and command line live update) I have finally installed MPT. hours... worst install ever! anyhow, the first seem edit (usb file transfer) already appeared enabled. So, I did nothing with that seem edit. I did perform the second seem edit (adding the M to the id string). I have not played around with it yet, but I DO at least see the Multi Media Studio icon....and it does bring up that tool. So, I assume that it will work. Try it out tomorrow. --zippy |

| All you need is Motorola Phone Tools and u can create and transfer all the pics/ringtones u want for free. It will also back up your contacts/calendar/text, etc. Alltel's phones are good to go out of the box

| Ok, I'm an idiot. Somehow I must have reinstalled the old driver. I went back and found the 4.21A driver and ran that and everything works again. I should just quit messing w/ it while everything still works I guess. |

| Spence, what usb driver are u using? Is it the DriverTool4.21a? Even if u installed it to get ur phone running, once u install MPT, it will revert back to older drivers. This could be causing the problem. I suggest running DriverTool4.21a again, and see if that clears anything up. Noah, that could be what happened to you. Good catch on your part to get it working. |

| That's probably what happened. I had just unhooked from MPT then decided at the last minute to sync up to Media Player to add a song to the mp3 player when the trouble started. So do I need to run the 4.21A driver tool each time I switch back and forth between MPT and Media player or was this an install issue? |

| Any time u leave a program that was using ur phone, u will need to unplug ur phone and plug it back in so the program u just had open will release your phone so the next program can use it. Just closing a progam isnt enough. |

| I tried that and it is still doing the same thing. Mine is a Verizon phone. But anyway, I looked in "Phone and Modem Options" It has "Motorola USB Modem", but under "Attached" it says "Not Present". How do I get it to recognize it? Sorry for my ignorance. Also, whenever I plug in my phone the "Add New Hardware Wizard" comes up, but it says it can't find the necessary software. It says it's a "Motorola Vc3" when I plug it in Last edited by salmos73; 11-28-2006 at 2:32 PM. Reason: Add New Hardware |
