Hi. My contract with T-mobile is up on Dec 17. I'm planning to switch to Verizon. I wanted to know if anybody knows when the Razr V3c is available, I keep checking verizonwireless.com for info, but it keeps saying it's coming soon. Thanks.

AFIK all new Razr models (V3c, V3i, V3x) are scheduled to be released Q4 2005, or very early 2006. I do not know of a definate date of release yet.

I hope it is released on the 12th, this is the type of phone my wife is looking for. I will stick with my e815 for a while.

The RAZR was approved for sale by Verizon mid last month. Alltel went from sale approval to the product being on store shelves in less than a week. In typical Verizon fashion, they are doing things much slower than the other carriers. The phone is available and approved for sale, the business channel may sell it to you direct if you are nice when you call.

From what I heard, and verified with some posts over on HoFo, the V3c for Verizon is supposed to launch as an internet exclusive on the 7th, and in stores on the 12th. I like the way the RAZR looks and everything, but the Verizon UI is just turning me off...it's dumb and won't let you customize almost anything.

I hate it. I'm going to have to learn how to put my own UI onto new phones I buy. I played with a phone that has the VZW UI on it the other day and hated it.

I just bought the Samsung SCH-950 on December 3rd. I like the phone, but am not completely in love with it like I was with my old LG VX6000. I just saw on Verizon's site that they have the Razr available as an online exclusive for $199. Do you think it will be possible for me to switch my phones? Is it guaranteed that the Razr will be in stores on the 12th for the same price, so I am still within my 14 day trade in policy? Or should I tomorrow call up Verizon and try to swing getting the phone online, even though I bought it in the store. Thanks. ~Rachel |

It has it's pros and cons for me, I like the fact that the contacts are now stored by name, with numbers grouped with the name, instead of the older Moto way a name for each number, (I know you can assign primary numbers, but that is such a pain.) I don't like the fact that the ability to incoming and outgoing calls by phone book seems to have been removed. Many businesses will use this as a way af limiting their employees phone usage.
