A similar thread was started in the Pocket PC forum. I've always used a Palm OS that dates back to my dot.com days. My first Palm was a IIIse, then a Handspring Visor Prism, and finally a Sony Clie UX50. Been curious about Pocket PC's but never used one. The Clie is okay, have had it for 9 months but it died on me twice. First time had to take it apart and re-seat the battery connector. I'd like to get a Palm because I think they're made better but am so dependent on the memory stick since I have a Sony digital camera. |

My first Palm was a IIIxe, then a Handspring Visor, and finally my current m505. Out of all of them I like the m505 best. I also have a Compaq IPaq 3760. I personally prefer the Palm OS, it seems more stable to me.

I had a PalmIII for many years - when that died, I upgraded to the HS Visor Prism when it first came out - the Prism still works, but it's a bit bulky. Upgraded to a Palm Tungsten|T about a year ago...just patiently waiting for the Moto v710 so I can finally do something with the Bluetooth...

First one a Handspring, then a Palm M505, then Sony Clie T615C which last me about 2 years and recently purchased a Sony Clie TJ37 last month.....I must said that Sony has the best line of PDAs out there..... a side note.....spent three and half hours at the Longo Toyota delarship today to fix my car (engine check light went on).....I pulled out my TJ37 and just out of curiousity to see if i can sniff a wi-fi spot there....I was surprised that they DO have wi-fi at the dealership. SSID was "longotoyota"....so i spent about 2 hours checking email...surfing the web there and this service is *FREE*!!! so anyone who's got a Toyota and lives in El Monte area of Southern Cali....u mite wanna take your car there to get service (great service), and while waiting if u got a wi-fi capable PDA or wi-fi capable laptop....u can browse WA forums and etc.... angela |

Unfortunalty I gave back my last Palm OS device when I left Sprint...It's sad since, I probably have a couple hundred dollars in wasted software sitting on my desktop. Act fo Palm OS...Dataviz...ect. When Verizon launches the Treo 600 I'll probably carry it for at least a few weeks. |

I used to use a Palm m100 as a beginner device, but I got tired of that device. I now use a Sony Clie SJ-20. It does the job for me...

I use an i500. It has been both useful and fun to have while travelling or just away from the computer. G. |

I bought one of the first Palm Zire's about a year and a half ago and it was ok... but it died after I lost the charger lol. I'm working on maybe getting that Tungsten|C with AT&T.

I have been using the Sony NX60 for the last 1 1/2 years. Now I am trying to decide between the Treo600 or waiting for the next version of Treo.

The next gen Treo is supposed to have a high res screen and some other neat stuff that I don't remember of the top of my head.

first was the first us robotics palm pilot. upgraded the original chip to the 2mb which made it into the palm pilot pro. next was a VX -- terrible product with the wandering digitizer manufacturing defect they would not support -- usually started about the warranty expiration time. nevertheless, stayed loyal and have an m515 now. maybe move to a pda/phone next time out. cheers all. |

Gideon, You can't get the Tungsten|C with AT&T Wireless. What you meant to say is the Tungsten|W, and unfortunately, AT&T Wireless has cut the device in favor of the Blackberry. Try an Ebay search for the Tungsten|W, you'll find plenty, then unlock it and go from there. Pritesh

My first PDA was a Palm Vx; upgraded to a Palm M-515 (the colour is great, even with the 160 x 160 display). Just saw the introductory bulletin on the Tungsten T-5 yesterday, so am tempted to upgrade again. The Tungsten T-3 would probably be suitable also (the price will likely drop now that the T-5 is out), although I'm not sure I like the "Slider" (any comments from other T-3 owners?). Also, there's been more than a few complaints about digitizer drift and other problems with the T-3, so that's causing me to hesitate a bit. Christmas will be here soon. Might be a good time for me to upgrade? |
