| Sprint Enhances Networks, Expands Coverage Throughout Philadelphia Philadelphia-area ambulance service relies on blazing fast speeds to increase efficiency and dependability PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2008--Get ready, get set, Now! Sprint (NYSE:S) customers in the greater Philadelphia area can now do more with wireless in more places, and faster than ever. During 2007, Sprint added new cell sites to its Nationwide Sprint Network and Nextel National Network in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. One local company that utilizes Sprint products and technology and takes advantage of recent network enhancements is Cetronia Ambulance Corps. It has installed Sprint Mobile Broadband Cards in all of its mobile gateway devices to allow its 19 nineteen ambulances to transmit GPS/AVL data back to its private communications center. "Cetronia relies on Sprint and its Nextel Direct Connect(R) services for all of its cellular and push-to-talk communications, and recognizes the dependability of the Sprint system as a major factor in keeping its personnel safe," said Larry Wiersch, executive director for Cetronia Ambulance Corps. "Cetronia has recently transitioned to a high-performance and highly accountable EMS system, and relies on Sprint to be as accountable for its performance as Cetronia is for the patients we serve." To help ensure quality network performance, during 2007 Sprint added more than 4,000 cell sites to the Nationwide Sprint Network and Nextel National Network. Both networks are currently performing at their best-ever levels, which means fewer blocked or dropped calls, translating to better connections for customers. "In addition to the $61 million that Sprint invested in the greater Philadelphia area between 2006 and 2007, Sprint expects to continue to enhance its networks and meet the demand for extensive mobile broadband coverage across the nation," said Bill Toth, vice president of North East region field engineering and operations for Sprint. "Sprint is constantly working to enhance the performance of its networks throughout Pennsylvania and across the U.S." Sprint customers in the Philadelphia region can take advantage of the recent enhancements at the following key locations: # Absecon, N.J. # Allentown, Pa. # Alloway, N.J. # Aston, Pa. # Atlantic City, N.J. # Barto, Pa. # Bellmawr, N.J. # Berwyn, Pa. # Bethel, Pa. # Birdsboro, Pa. # Blackwood, N.J. # Blue Bell, Pa. # Boothwyn, Pa. # Boyertown, Pa. # Bristol, Pa. # Camden, N.J. # Cherry Hill, N.J. # Chester, Pa. # Cheswold, Del. # Coatesville, Pa. # Coopersburg, Pa. # Croydon, Pa. # Dagsboro, Del. # Danielsville, Pa. # Darby, Pa. # Deptford, N.J. # Douglassville, Pa. # DOVER, Del. # Downington, Pa. # Easton, Pa. # Elkton, Md. # Emmaus, Pa. # Ewing, N.J. # Ewing Township, N.J. # Feasterville, Pa. # Felton, Del. # Franconia, Pa. # Ft. | I live in one of these towns and the coverage is noticeable. I haven't been this happy with a provider since the original Nextel days. Sprint's CS sucks, but I'm staying put for quite a while! |

| I am very glad to hear this. I currently live in Phila and work in Center City, but I spend a lot of time in Metro NYC and Central NY (Syracuse area). Does anyone have experiences in these markets (particularly traveling between then)? I am on the verge of taking the plunge, but am still a little hesitant. I am currently with Verizon and I am happy with the service, just not the price or the phones. I am strongly considering the Sprint's SERO plan, but I had Nextel before Verizon and I found the coverage to be terrible. |

| The coverage maps seem to get updated about every 6 weeks. They are not too out of date right now. |

| Now, they need to expand towards, Wellsboro area, I bounce off Verizon when I am in that area. Someone has to get into that area to give Verizon a little run for their money, Verizon is getting all the customers in that area. |
