AT&Ticon Expands Wireless Coverage in Plant City

Lake Mary, Florida, November 6, 2007

The nation's largest wireless carrier is expanding coverage in fast-growing West Florida. AT&Ticon Inc. (NYSE:T) announced today the activation of a new cell site in Plant City.

The new site, located near the intersection of State Road 39 and East Park Road in Hillsborough County, is providing coverage to southern Plant City.

"Providing our customers with the best wireless experience, including superior network coverage, is top priority for AT&Ticon," said Rudy Hermond, vice president and general manager for AT&T's West, Central and North Florida wireless operations. "We are continually expanding and improving our network for our customers."

The new Hillsborough County cell site is part of AT&T's $133 million investment in its Florida wireless network this year. The company has invested more than $800 million in the Florida wireless network since 2005 to improve coverage and expand its 3G footprint. AT&T rolled out 3G in Tampa last fall and plans to expand its 3G coverage to the Fort Myers and Naples areas in 2008.

AT&T's 3G wireless broadband network delivers typical download speeds ranging from 600 to 1,400 Kbps. The high speed network makes it possible for customers to use advanced, on-the-go wireless services such as Video Share, CV (video clips on demand) and AT&T Mobile Music. AT&T provides 3G services in more than 200 metropolitan areas, with plans to expand to additional markets by the end of the year.

"This expansion is evidence of our ongoing commitment to investing in the state of Florida," said Marshall Criser III, president of AT&T Florida. "The investments by AT&T will have a positive impact at both the state and community levels, in addition to the benefits that our customers will receive."
