I can't stand it anymore. Have been a loyal Verizon customer for years based on best coverage in VT and Western MA. Recently moved to Shelburne, VT, and coverage is terrible. Considered repeater but not sure local signal is reliable enough to work. Any recommendations for best local coverage???

I think your best bet (and only other choice) would be Unicel. When I roam on them in VT, they seem to have good reception, for such a rural, mountainous state. US Cellular doesn't serve that part of VT, Verizon is native, there.

Agreed, if Verizon coverage is not working for you, Unicel is probably the best bet. Nextel is another option, coverage there looks decent. Thats about it for native coverage. The Verizon map shows solid coverage in Shelburne. Are you in thick tree cover or on the other side of a hill from the lake? If so, try and borrow someone's Unicel or Nextel phone to see how it works there. |

When roaming on Unicel, I get a decent, non-stop signal in Vermont straight to the Canadian border. This begins on I-89 at exit 15 in New Hampshire.
