Hi there. When I'm inside my house the reception isn't good when phones pick up AT&T tower (1-2 bars) and is very good when they pick up Cingular (4 bars) (reads Extended area). I was told that I could set Nam2 on my phones to always point to Cingular network. I've set Nam2 SID to 29 and MobileID to my phone number. Now, when I pick Nam2 (2nd number in Own Number selection) and dial a number I get a busy signal. When I pick Nam1(1st number in Own Number selection) it works on AT&T. What did I miss? Was there anything else I needed to do? I live in Philadelphia area (19115).

THat will only work if AT&T allows its customers to roam on Cingular. Just the fact that your phone receives the signal is not an indication that it is allowed.

But when it says "Extended Area" it's on Cingular. I get Cingular customer service when I dial 611. There's no other TDMA carier in this area.
