    Default Verizon vs. Sprint PCS

OK - I realize there are probably a lot of threads with this same title, but I still have not gotten honest answers from people regarding their wireless service. I live in Stamford, CT and am currrntly a Verizonicon customer. I am not completely happy with their service and am considering switiching to Sprinticon PCS. Currently, I use the phone strictly for the free Eve & Weekends and occasionally use it for travel. My destinations usually include, Sarasota, FL, Mt. Snow, VT, NYC and Phoenix, AZ. Can anyone tell me which service is better, clearer, has fewer dropped calls, etc. I would like to change and need some opinions before I do.

    Thanks for all you knowledge!!!!!

    Peace!

How is service around and at Mt. Snow?

From what I've gathered reading other threads, AT&Ticon seems to be the best for FL. The other places I'm not sure. If you're off the main drag you're probably going to roam with Sprint so you'd want to keep that in mind. Verizonicon will do better in most places for rural coverage.

Verizonicon will be better for you in NYC and in Upstate NY. In the North East in general Verizonicon "travels better" than Sprinticon ever will.

One more vote for Verizonicon. If you only travel to big metro areas and not so much off the beaten path Sprint will be fine. However, if you want your phone to work pretty much everywhere without roaming charges then Verizonicon is the clear choice. Having used both I can honestly say that Verizonicon has been much more reliable and in the end less expensive because of fewer roaming charges.

If your not happy with Verizonicon I know you won't be happy with Sprinticon.

What is it about Verizonicon that you don't like?

yep, I'm not sure about mt. snow, but if there is coverage there at all it would be with VZWicon. I would highly doubt that Sprint is there at all. AFAIK sprint is only in Rutland and Burlington.

Sprinticon is also in Saint Albans, Barre/Montpelier, and White River Junction as well as a few areas in between.

I had Verizonicon for and the T720 for 2 days. I live in Litchfield County, Ct. and the reception sucked. Currently with Cingular which isn't bad @ all but will be switching to Sprinticon once my 5300 arrives!

Stick with Verizonicon. If you arent getting a signal with Verizonicon, youre defintaly not getting one with Sprint.

Also, the T720 has had big problems on Verizonicon. Most other phoes are just fine.
