T-Mo has VERY good coverage; can't speak for AT&T. -SC

Judging by the maps on AT&T's site, they don't appear to have any sort of native coverage up there... Granted, their maps are hard to read (a bit small) but I don't see anything resembling acceptable coverage up there. AT&T appears to be out of the picture here... T-mobile's Buffalo network was launched fairly recently (Sept/Oct?) and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it. They give you a 14 day trial period, so why not just give 'em a whirl for 14 days and if you like it, keep it; if not, don't... No obligation. Better than a girlfriend... less hassle to get out of the "commitment"

T-Mo has great coverage in Erie County and Western Niagara County. It pretty much drops off N & E of Lockport, and extends as far South as Springville. Coverage is seamless along I-90 West to Cleveland and East to Albany. ATTWS does not activate new service in Buffalo or Rochester, although it does have coverage along I-90 between the two cities. Its existing customers can use their service without any problem. Of course, T-Mobile customers can't roam on ATTWS & vice-versa, except for 911 only. I have heard that ATTWS is planning on entering the WNY market in the 1st half of 2003, but I've not seen that confirmed anywhere. |

I believe they have a license up there and are building out. Right now they roam on Cingular.
