Has anyone heard if Cingular will be offering Mobile to Mobile minutes on their nationwide plans??? It seems like they would need to compete with Verizon, since they offer this.

I would not jump immediately to GSM. No matter how much testing they've done, there are going to be the inherent bugs and lower quality of coverage at least for the first few months. I'd hold back until other people say it's working out well.

FYI, I was just at the Cingular store and they are rolling out GSM in the Philly area tomorrow. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens regarding how good their service is (and for that matter what the return policy is if the service stinks!)

hey, i have a nation plan on cingular. the old nation ones. i called 611 and asked for mobile to mobile minutes. they offered $5/month for 500, $10 for 1000, or $20 for unlimited. I took the $5. I think while normally I can make and receive calls to and from anywhere bc of my old nation plan, that the m2m is diff. i think i have to be in my boston market area. plus, the person im calling or receivng the call from, must have a tdma phone too, from the boston market too, and be within the boston market too.... please tell me im wrong, but unfortunately i believe im right. of course the CS rep told me its national. lol. i guess ill see soon....

Boston market is good...I love their chicken. M2M minutes don't work national. Only in your area.
