I had a contract with Cingular Wireless and upon agreeing to the contract received a free Nokia cell phone. I terminated the contract after a year. I am wondering if I bought a track phone card if I can activate this cellular wireless phone? Please answer as soon as possible.

I believe Tracfone has to program the phone for it to work with them, even though thte phone will actually use Cingular towers. You'd have to call tracfone and ask them. That being said, Tracfone is probably the most overpriced prepaid service out there. I'd use Cingular's prepaid, where I know you can use your existing phone, over Tracfone.

The phone can be used. Tracphone uses Cingular and Verzion's analog network, for the most part, which is why it is such an expensive prepay service. Why did you cancel the contract? Cingular prepay is probally the way to go.
