i appreciate your responses, and the only thing keeping me from buying the 720 was the software issues. Supposedly everything was fixed with the 19c upgrade. I'd like to get some responses from people with the 720 and the 19c, to see if they have problems still. Thanks again, Doug |

Why waste so much money on a phone??? If Data (1x) is important then I could see spending that much for one of those phones (only b/c there is none cheaper) but if it is sound quality, and the call going through that is the only important things for you a phone like the 120c does it all and you wont be spending a fortune. If you are going for the look though I would go with the V60i, the other 2 are color which is cool but they are bigger and bulkier. also they are designed for the get it now network which seems to me a waste of money. Plus I have heard that the sound quality isnt what it should be on the T720.

I've got a 720 19c and love it. I have no complaints on the voice quality from either the sending or receiving end. Great phone. Lots of features. A little pricey, but there is the $100 mail in rebate so it comes out to 199. I think the V60 is $149 after $50 rebate.

Really it all depends on what you are looking for. I have had all three phones! Samsung A310 - Groovy blue screen - great feature for external color display which you can change for different groups calling - great menu - poor reception - phone gets very hot. V60i - Probably the best phone as far as battery life and reception goes. BUT! and I stress BUT... If you have bad eyes and want to do the web - the screen is small and just your plain ol' screen. I found this to be the worst feature on this phone - small screen - Hard to read! T720 - This is the phone I am currently using - I have the 19c version - traded in my 17p version. I still have black outs (not many) the phone still drops calls - I do know they are working on the upgraded 19d software, so hopfully that will help the problem. Poor battery life - Geez, I am wondering why I LOVE this phone. The screen is unbelievable, browsing the web is the BEST! I am not crazy about the menu features, but who cares! I still feel this is the best of the bunch - Motorola will get it together with regards to the glitches we are all experiencing. It really has the potential for great features! So ---- This is my choice, even with all its faults! |

I really liked my T720, but returned it due to bad voice quality. I know that others didn't have this problem... some are happy and some are still working out the bugs. Since Verizon will update the software version, it may be worth trying out. Supposedly there are more phones due out before Thanksgiving. You may want to wait and have more choices. |

I, like Dennis, love this phone. Most people don't even know that I'm on a cell, they think I'm on a landline. The software upgrade makes a world of difference. However, if you're the type that minds charging their battery every day or every other day, stay away and pick up the v60. Wireless web is not a big deal for me, but for the two times I've used it, the T720 is much easier to view. I've never had a freeze up with my phone, so if you get a bad one, try try again. There are T720's without probs. One thing that's a must have on this phone, and will never get another phone without this feature is the Soda Pop program to check my email. It's fantastic for when I'm out and I need to check something quick or I forget to do something at work. I can just pick up my mail or send something out in less than a minute. If you can wait a month, you can check out the phones from other makers, but I love the Motorolas.
