I heard a radio ad for unlimited anytime from att for $99. I did a little research online and it seems to be only a GSM thing, right? This isn't available in NJ is it? I figure the target audience for the ad must be located geographically pretty close by... I'm not sure what station I heard it on, but its origin was either NY, NJ, or PA. Just wondering if anyone had more info on this... it's gotta be good for someone in our region if they're advertising it here.

Yes, it is called the AT&T NATIONAL GSM CHARTER PLAN with Unlimited anytime minutes and it costs $99 dollars/month. This is good for use ONLY on their new GSM network nationwide. Long distance and roaming included while in the AT&T GSM network. If you roam on Cingular GSM it's $0.25/min. And, yes you can get it in NJ.

Just out of curiousity does anybody have the latest AT&T GSM network map? If they do I would like to see it.

Keep in mine that the $99 for unlimited minutes is only for the first year or two (depending on the length of the contract you sign). After that you get 1500 anytime minutes.

| I'll take a shot at the question above about AT&Ts GSM coverage map. Go to their plans page: http://www.attws.com/mobileinternet/rateplans.jhtml and click on View Coverage under <u>Local Calling</u>. The first thing you get is the national map, which I agree is all but unreadable. Now put in your zip code, or any random zip code for that matter. If AT&T offers GSM in that area, you should get a reasonably readable "local" map (where local means 5 or 6 states). Try 10019, a NYC zip code, for the northeast map (and of course there's always 90210). SteveW
