Default Any way to get new phone for existing plan w/o paying retail?

I signed a two year contract with Verizon back in July and got it with an N300. Although the phone is great and reliable in every way, I would liketo get a new phone within the near future. I wouldlove an A530 or an LG 4400 when they come out, but my new every two wouldn't be in effect until May 2004. That seems like an awful long time to wait to update my phone, and buying either of those phones at retail would kill me financially. Is there any way that I could get a new phone sometime in early 2003 without paying retail?

This is why you should never sign 2 year contracts Anyway, what's done is done. Ok, Verizon can't help you here, neither will anyone who deals with Verizon since they wouldn't get reimbursed by Verizon for selling you a phone while you're under contract. Your only real hope is to buy the phone off of someone who happens to get their hands on it, like on eBay or even on the Marketplace board here. You'll still probably spend $200 or more depending on how new and fancy the phone is, but you really don't have much other recourse.
