if buying an unlocked phone will it work on any any providor? say if i buy a 7210 or a v60gi both gsm will they work on cingular tdma??

First, if you're question is will they work on Cingular's TDMA towers, the answer's no....

If you want to activate them in a TDMA area, and bounce of T-MO towers, as I was told last night, the answer is no. I work for a Cingular agency and was informed we are NOT permitted to activate GSM phones in this area at this time.

yeah i didnt think they would work but then why did they say u can activate these phones on any providor

i guess a more accurate statement would be: you can activate it on any provider with compatible service.
