I was wondering if you guys could give me more information on this trading in your phone deal. Also I was wondering if you offered this plan thru Sprint

Total = Anytime + Night & Weekend Over Total Over (per KB) Monthly Charge
4500 = 500 + 4000 $.40 2 MB $.02 $44.99

I used to work at RS (until the end of Aug), and I still follow some of the stuff.

First of all, RS doesn't sign people up for Sprint plans...customers buy the phones then activate with Sprint on their own. Even if this has changed, RS offers all the same plans that Sprint does. Rarely, RS will offer an "exclusive" plan that Sprint stores don't, but again, that's rare.

I believe the phone trade-in is a fixed value. In other words, you will get a certain $ credit towards a particular phone no matter what kind of phone you trade in. I'm assuming any trade-in phone has to be working and include basic charger.

Check the RS flyer or just ask a store manager if you need to clear it up more.

Ok how do you go about activating the plan by yourself then?

The reason I ask about the plan is I went to Best Buy and was going to get it thru them last week but they didn't offer the plan I listed. I wasn't sure ifit was a special thru the website or what.

Thanks for you help

If it's a promotional plan, it may not be listed in literature. It just means that it is a limited-time plan that you get by asking for it on the phone or picking it from the Sprint PCS website. Here's the process:

1. Buy a phone
2. Either call *2 from the cell or go to activate.sprintpcs.com to activate
3. Just follow the instructions either way (calling might be easier than online b/c they can communicate with your phone over the air that way)

I heard about the Sprint Trade-in offer but when I went to RS this weekend, one of the emplyees said the offer was not for Sprint as they had thought but was only for Verizon. Was I given a line?

As an unfortunate current Radioshack Employee (come on, hire me as a mechanical engineer!), everything's confused right now. The $100 rebate is for Verizon's T720 and VX-10. But, from what I've read, there's a $50 rebate on the Sprint Vision handsets (3 of them, and no, I don't know which 3 models right now).
