New Cingular Plans not until late September?

I just got off the phone with cingular people, and though they insisted the date was tentative, they said they would be rolling out new plans in late september, early october, not this weekend as I have heard around here... Also, for those in the Boston area, I hear they will be offering both nokia and ericsson GAIT phones for very cheap, $10 was the price I was told, probably after a rebate or something. I wonder if the rollout is being delayed due to a lack of availability of these phones... They also would not give me details about the National plans other than the true nation wide plan will not include night and weekend minutes... heh i just upgraded my service in case the new plans turn out to suck, so I can get a good deal grandfathered.. I asked about the national preferred plans and she said she couldn't say either way because she was unsure and didnt want to say one thing and have it turn out to be the other.. Sounds sorta fishy, given the details known about the other plans, but what're ya gonna do... Anyways, I hope you guys find this info... interesting, at least.

I was at a Cingular Store today and they said the new plans will come out Monday, Aug. 19th. You still have the rest of today (Saturday) and tomorrow, Sunday Aug. 18 to get the old plans.

Cingular is trying to have the same rate plans all over the country. this means the Cingular Nation Preferred Network(CNPN) plans will be along those lines. from what i understand and what i have seen, for 39.99/ month, you will get 350 peak with 3000 offpeak with the CNPN plans. thats pretty darn good.
