Default Verizon vs Sprint in Baltimore, MD

I was wondering if anyone knew if verizon or sprint has better service in baltimore, MD. I live in the 21234 zip code and i kinda live around "hickville" like where there are farms and all. Inside the house my dad's sprint phone works in certain locations. Would verizon service be any better?

I personally love Verizon but its best to ask any neighbors you may have as certain providers work better than others in small, rural areas.

Whether or not a phone will work inside anyone's house is not something anyone can help you with. It's best to use the trial period to determine that.

Verizon seems to be better with rural areas. You might want to give them a try and see how it works for you.

I am in the Northwest suburb of Baltimore right now and have excellent coverage so far with Verizon. Haven't really gone out to the cow country yet so I dunno...

Its like this. Verizon has the best coverage anywhere u go. It doesnt matter verizon is the biggest and it is the best. They dont offer the best features and phones, but they do offer the best service anywhere in the U.S

These posts start to amuse me, since they don't actually offer any insight whatsoever. Anyway, Verizon's coverage is TIED (not better) than Cingular overall in the Philly market, which is Southeast PA, Southern NJ, and all of DE. In fact, in places in the Northeast where Cingular is TDMA, both Cingular and Verizon have (in some form) been building towers in those markets for 15-20 years. Therefore, in most cases you will find in the Northeast that Verizon and Cingular are VERY similar.

I know that was a bit off-topic. Anyway, as with everything, "your mileage may vary." There ARE areas where Sprint has significantly better reception than Verizon (and vice versa). Utilize Verizon's trial period to make sure it works well where you want it to work. If Verizon doesn't work any better, give Cingular a shot.
