Currently, the only GSM provider in NJ, VoiceStream, does not officially sell or support the t68. There are dealers in NYC that sell it unlocked. VS will be carrying the t68m in either June or July I can't remember what I read......it will be locked and cost less (you can get it unlocked from VS after 3 months as a customer)

My friend is a dealer in Parsippany, I think, he has the T68 unlocked. If not he can definatly get it.

Does anyone know if Voicestream Wireless is getting the Sony Ericsson T68i. I want that phone, but if is going to be along time before they ge, or they aren't getting it, then I am going to go ahead and get the Motorola P280 now.

Anyone have any reviews on the Motorola P280. I am anxious to use Voicestream's iSTREAM service, and I can't with my browserless Nokia 3390. Also, anyone want to buy a Nokia 3390. I have tons of faceplates, and the phone is only about 2 days old, because I just did a handset exchange? The phone will be on sale as soon as I get my P280.

I was just in a wireless store today in Clifton NJ, and the owner told me that he could order me the T68, put a SIM card in it, and activate it on Voicestream for $299.00. Then he told me that it would probably be the T68i, because the T68 availablity is questionable.

I would also consider going with the samsung q105 for you.(Verizon version the t300) I personally have the motorola 270C which is very similar to the 280. I just did a switch at alltel for a new phone with new software and it works better. I think that it is a decent phone.

The one I used with my T68 that I had brought back from Australia is Cingular Wireless. I bought their SMS chips, and it works.
