You can rent your land for carrier to build cell sire but, they are not going to rent a cell site from you .nonnnnnnooooooonooooooooo.

That's not entirely true.

I have been approached by several "brokers" who were looking for "investors" interested in building and leasing cell sites. The whole thing, electronics and all! Not just land and tower. Each site supposedly needed about $5million!

Since I don't have the kind of money they were asking for -- and I don't know enough about the economic issues to consider it -- I didn't bite. But my research indicated that it is a legitimate opportunity; there are cell companies that contract with independent cell sites ("roaming" by any other name!) It's not common in the major markets. All of the sites offered me were truly in "the middle of nowhere" (one, I remember, was in Nevada! My apologies to any Nevadans reading this!!!)

But there does appear to be a market for local, independent cell sites. So it might be possible for Apoc to build one and rent it to one or several carriers. But given his propensity for "Enron", I'd personally stay away from his investment schemes and advice.
