So I called today to change my plan and this is what I got, 59.99 a month National plan 1050 Anytime min Unlimited Night& Weekends that start a 7pm Unlimited Mobile-to-mobile Pretty sweet huh?? A similar plan with Sprint would cost 75$, and on Cingular around 80$.. so I don't think it's a bad deal.

"Early Evenings - your nights start at 7:00 p.m. instead of 9:00 p.m. Simply choose a plan $59.99 or above, with a 2-year agreement, from below. Special Offer: Get UNLIMITED calls to other AT&T Wireless customers in your Mobile-to-Mobile coverage area with qualified plan and 2-year agreement. " This is what I found when I looked at the ATT website today. You know what they say about companies that are giving too much away... |

Whats funny is that both of those offers are exact copies of Sprint and Verizon. Verizon does the unlimitted "in network" calling now for all new plans, and Sprint does the 7pm nights. So Att should come up with something original like free calling to all non ATT customers. Or nights that start at 6:58. |

I thought you dumped them because of bogus roaming charges a few months ago? So do you still have Sprint/Nextel? That is a pretty good plan! | |

He shouldn't have any problems in NJ, I know i don't and now some people are getting Cingular signals when AWE signal goes out. I love the coverage in NJ & NY with AWE.

Cool deal. Too bad verizon won't be able to come up with anything similiar. Although 8pm nights would be a start. Hell, it's nighttime after 6 in the winter. |

Hey Airb, well..I was still stuck in a contract with At&T even after that whole billing fiasco, so I put that line on a 19.99 a month plan and left it in my desk drawer for a couple of months. Since recent events..i.e. Cingular acquisition, I'm reconsidering switching completely back to At&T and dumping my Sprint line after the transition is complete. I've had excellent coverage in New Jersey with At&T ironically, even better then Sprint in a lot of places. For some strange reason I'm disliking CDMA sound quality more and more everyday, especially when I roam on Verizon!! Every time I use my At&T phone the sound quality is so much better.. and I miss that.

NYCDru, there are two possibilities: 1) Verizon's poorer quality phones, or 2) Verizon's audio codec is set to lower sound quality to preseve capacity (since they have so many customers). By the way, another member of my family just switched to AT&T Wireless from Nextel (he finally got pissed at them) and he got a pretty good deal. He's now with two AT&T Wireless phones and he's paying less than what he used to pay for the one Nextel phone that he had. AT&T Wireless is really throwing the house out the window. They are already cheaper than Cingular and approaching T-Mobile in plan pricing. It's amazing what competitive crisis can do! With several family members now on AT&T Wireless, that means we'll all be a big family on the same carrier next year!

They match TMO's plans but really don't beat them at the 39-59 level. Also, the ATT plans stink, way too much roaming. Not to mention their data rates are like 10 times higher than TMO.
