Default Upgrades and rebates

Hello all,

I can understand that the wireless companies want new subscribers. But as they let more people in even more are leaving because of this. Right now I'm with tmo and as far as the service goes its fine getting great signal all over. I'm using a v60 and i'm looking to upgrade to a color phone. Now I am out of contract on month to month. The best they could do for me was give me a $30.00 discount on the phone sans any rebates. With number portabilty you would think they would modify the rebate policy to keep a loyal customer. I would be willing to go back on contract to do it. When I asked about that I was told the only way to do that was to also get a new number, WTF.

Is there a way to do this and keep my number, took me close to 3 months to get my old number out of my head and the new one memorized.

Worst came to worst its Helllloooo CINGULAR. Though i'd hate the rigamaroll.

Thanks

Default Upgrades and rebates

Wildfire, T-Mobile is introducing a new upgrade program called "Just Like New" this Sunday, March 7. I'm still trying to learn the details, so I haven't posted anything about it yet. But, here is what I know so far. Keep in mind it might not be 100% correct. The website that is supposed to do this (it redirects you somewhere else now) is http://www.tmobileupgrades.com

Some details.

1. You must have been a customer for one year.
2. You can only do this offer once per year, per line.
3. you must be on a 39.99 single line plan (or higher) or on at least the 69.99 family plan.
4. You must extend your contract one year.

In return, you get the new customer price, including rebates.

As I said, I am not 100% sure about all of this, but the info. seems pretty reliable.

Default Upgrades and rebates

Matt, if AT&T Wireless had a similar plan they would have kept me as a customer!

The funny part is they sent me an e-mail indicating they new I had filled out the first part of the "Customers First" registration but didn't complete it. They gave me a number to dial for more info. They wanted a TWO year contract and only gave you a "crappy" phone for free. NO THANKS. I'm with T-Mobile now and not looking back!

Actually with AWE you can get a free phone or apply the discount to any phone they offer. I don't know which phone they are offering yet since it is new. What phone were they offering you ?

Verizon has given the same deal to renewing customers as they have for new since I've been with them. In fact, if you've been with them for two years and renew for another two, you get an extra $100 towards a phone. Last year I got a $200 phone and after the rebate, I only paid the sales tax.

I originally left TMobile a year and a half ago due to their renewal policy. Since I have been with Verizon. Its about time they offer a good renewal program.
