Have just bought on Ebay a Sony Ericson T608 cell phone brand new $250.00 that is configured for Sprint Service. I Have Verizon service and needed a Blue Tooth phone. This phone is CDMA and should work on the Verizon Network. Verizon said it was ok to use and they will activate for me but will provide no support. I am wondering if there are settings I will have to change within the phones software for it to work properly. Has anyone done something similiar?? This appears to be a great phone and in short supply. The only Blue Tooth on Cdma I could find. The Battery life is also fantastic compared to others I have researched. Any comments or advice would be appreciated. It's a shame verizon doesn't have a better selection of phones like my friends on AT&T and others do !!!!!!! |

Rainman - there are folks here who have had success using Sprint phones on VZW's network, although you may not have access to all of the services and features available on a VZW-configured phone. Also, if I remember correctly, someone mentioned a while back that the SE T608 failed VZW's testing process. But don't let that stop you!

verizon was testing the 606, i believe when sony ericsson said they were no longer going to support CDMA in the US, Verizon decided to not carry the phone.

I got the phone and of course it is configured and locked to Sprint. Verizon is of no assistance and says Sprint must unlock the phone. Sony Erricson said it should work fine but would not give me unlock codes and referred me to Sprint. Of course Sprint wouldn't be interested in assistance because I am not a customer. Anyone who is a techie willing to help or direct me to another site would be appreciated. I liked this phone because of the battery and bluetooth features, web features are not important. Thanks in advance !!!!!! |

Rainman....you can get the code. Just e-mail .sprint@quisqueya.net.do. He helped me out about a month ago. The guy is good. In under 24 hrs of contacting him (and $15 paypal), he had the unlock codes and basic procedures.
