Planning to get a couple of new phones on amazon, for tmobile. I already have a couple without a contract. I'd like to keep the numbers of the ones I already got. When I get the new phones can I just call tmobile up and do the switch. Followed by another call to cancel the old accounts I have no contract in.

On a side note, can you have 4 accounts on tmobile? I'd hate to get rejected when I have great credit rating.

I'm not too worried about loosing my old numbers, but it wouldn't hurt to keep them.

Why do you have to bother informing T-Mobile at all? T-Mobile is GSM. If the phones you are buying on Amazon are either T-Mobile phones or unlocked phones why can't you just take the sim cards out of the old phones and stick them in the new phones, and then you have the old numbers on the new phones.

Did I misunderstand your situation or how the technology works?

sorry i didn't make too much sense...

the point is that I want to drop my old accounts, but keep those numbers.

If I just switch phones, I have the new phones on the old numbers with no contract, but I can't cancel the new accounts with old phones because they are under contract.

It's my way of getting new phones and not paying anything for it.

why don't you just renew your contract and keep your numbers and at the same time you should be allowed to upgrade your phones........
