Since November 1 2003, I have been trying unsucessfully to add a second line of service and purchase a new phone. I have been a Sprint customer for over three years. On November 1, I spent al least 2 hours on the phone and they finally told me that I should go to a Sprint store. On Nov 2, I went to the Sprint store (about a 40 minute drive each way) where I waited almost a half hour for an employee to wait on me only to find out that the computer was "down" and they couldn't help me. I waited around another hour hoping that the computer would become "up"- didn't happen. On November 3 I spoke to an employee who said he had ordered the phone and set up the other line and that I should have it in 3-5 business days. On November 13th (TEN days later) I called Sprint to find out about the status of the order and was informed that it "didn't go through" and she would have her supervisor investigate and call me back. I then called Sprint and explained to the rep everything that happened so far, who then placed the order again and assured me that she would personally follow up on the order and call me back on November 14 and let me know one way or the other what was going on. It is now almost 10pm EST and I have yet to hear from her. While waiting I called Sprint and found out that the second attempt did not go through. I have now spoken to at least 20 Sprint employees over the last two weeks and I have spend several hours on hold and NO ONE HAS DONE ANYTHING. I'm still at the same place I started two weeks ago except that instead of wanting to add a second line I'm seriously considering cancelling the one I have and going to another service provider. |

I have been with VERIZON before they changed their name to VERIZON and I recently had the same problem getting an accessory order; it took months. SO; its not just SPRINT. AND it is better to go to a store if you can.

Just go to a radioshack store, buy the phone right there (get the instant discount) and you're done. Sorry that you're having so many problems... |
