Don't forget that cingular is offering people 500 rollover minutes already in place when they sign up. (When did this promotion start. I saw an Add on TV this weekend.)

Now, what will the other carriers offer?

Actually, when I went on TMoblie's site, the plan that included Fridays with the weekend, did not include nights.

That depends where you live. I'll give it to Verizon for their network, but At&t is horrid in Central Pa. It will be interesting to see with WLNP which areas of the country some carriers gain/lose subs.

Catch-22...If you ask me, I rather have the standard weekend. And Sprint's 7PM nights is $5/mo.

I have a theory as to why that would be the case.

Verizon is trying NOT to aquire 3-5 million Net new customers between ThanksGiving and Valentines Day. Unless you know something i don't they don't have the capacity to deal with a net increae that big at all. They can deal with an increased subscribership of up to 2 million in that time period as there past performance indicates. But if the offer some wonderfull new promotions , especialy in places like New York in the Northeast they will have MASSIVE capacity problems.

Those are my thoughts.

Comments?

Don't forget that Sprint is now also giving free unlimited mobile-to-mobile minutes on ANY new 2 year contract.

Sprint has been pretty agressive in the past couple of months:

-7pm Unlimited Nights & Weekends $5/month
-Free roaming up to 50% of your monthly alloted minutes $5/month
-Free Unlimited Mobile to Mobile minutes FREE

This weekend I'll be able to add Unlimited Push-To-Talk for $5/month

You can still get the standard 600 minutes plan with unlimited nights/weekends for $39.99. Or the 1000 anytime with NO n/w for 39.99......

If you ask me, all of the carriers should've never made night's at 9:00PM.

Hmm.....

ATT seems to be ..pretty much Giving its phones away on there website.

Also, Tmobile has a promotion. Regional plan for NY, NJ, and CONN 3000 anytime for 50/month. No nights but an option for unlimited weekends.

Verizon has lots of rumors of new phones, but nithing besides that and the new family plans.

"They did that to gouge more money out of there customer base and we all know it. "

The busiest times on most wireless networks now is 9-midnight (used to be 12-5 pm, prior to Unlimited N&W)

For $39.99 per month you can get 400 anytime minutes 1000 mobile to mobile and Unlimited Nights and Weekends, that averages to be $1.31 per day....how is a $1.31 per day GOUGING?

The average price for a 16 oz soft drink is $1.19 now that's price Gouging!!!!

Ok, so now Verizon has an unlimited text messageoption for $4.99 and also now on family plans you have either unlimited family talk or you share the 1000 mobile-to-mobile minutes.......Snore.

New Phones coming is cool but i realy don't think they are goinf to have any realy cool promotions.

just once it'd be nice if someone led they way with cool phones that can
actually transmit enough for a site to hear it, had customer service reps that
were actually glad you called, yada, yada, yada yada... face it the're all bad
at customer service!

I guess I must be the exception, but I have been with Sprint since March of 01 and have been very happy with customer service.
