Default Really bad credit!

Sprint is the most lenient, they have the smallest deposits as well.

I'd say most carriers would probably approve you, it just depends on how much you're willing to put up for a deposit. GoodmanR is right though, you won't find a major carrier with a lower deposit than Sprint. I'd say Cingular would be your next best bet, if you have really bad credit Verizon will probably want a $1,000 deposit, and AT&T has the most stringent credit requirements of any carrier that I know of. I don't know what Cingular's highest deposit amount is, if I remember correctly it was $300 when I was with them, but it has likely gone up since then.

Nextel is more selective than ATT

ATT is actually really lienient on its credit approvals. My buddy had gone through a bankruptcy and no more than two months later they had pre-approved him for a phone. Also I have a friend that works for them and he said that it seems like they let anyone with a credit card get a phone. I think Nextel is the toughest with Verizon right behind, then Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile, and then Sprint.

I agree, mcf04581. I <FONT face=Verdana size=1><FONT face=Arial size=2>have pretty bad credit and AT&T only wanted $200 for a deposit while most of the other carriers I contacted wanted $400 - $500 deposits.

Default Really bad credit!

you may want to try the go phone, of course its gsm service but theres no contract, activation feeor creit check. blue 3590 for 89.99 or color 3595 for 129.99. the free n/w promo will be available only until the end of this month if u go on the 29.99 or 33.98 plan. i think its after nov 1 that you will have to go with the 39.99 and higher to get free n/w minutes
