Default Roaming over the weekend on "DobsonUS" and "T-Mobile"
I went up to poughkeepsie ny this past weekend for my college alumni weekend and i have attws gsm service here at home in northwest CT. I have never been on any other service than att until this weekend. Once i got into new york i would roam on and off of dobsonUS and t-mobile, (dobsonUS had a much better signal than t-mobile). Does anyone know if i am going to get charged roaming for being on other towers. Also has anyone ever heard of dobsonUS. thanks, Chris

I live in Poughkeepsie, and had Cellular One. Just changed to VZW. Cellular One is owned by Dobson. Customer loyalty at Cell One were telling me that they are introducing GSM in the area and already have arrangements with ATT and Cingular. That would explain why Dobson showed up on your statement. As far as being charged, i guess it would depend on your plan. Hope this helps.
