Default expected WNP performance

Technically, can anyone speculate on how will WNP actually perform once one changes their number? I've read an article saying that it will be very difficult to implement from a technical standpoint. Could one get potentially worse service once they switch b/c of this?

One problem you may run into is the actual porting of the number to the new carrier. The process can be as quick as half an hour, but if anything goes wrong, it could take days to complete. As for quality of wireless service, that should not change.

it will normally take only a few mins but can take up to almost 2 weeks.
