Finally someone is rolling somehting out. Too bad its only for Verizon alley and not even most verizon customers will be able to get it. Anyone else planning something like this? http://newscenter.verizon.com/proact....vtml?id=80694

Ahh....I remember something like this several years ago with a Motorola phone......It was a home and away, when it was within a given range, it was forwarded to your home number, and when you were away from the base (1000' or so I think) it became your mobile. I guess folks weren't ready for that back in '97

GTE wireless had something similar to this called telle go (Something like that) if you within a certain range then it would be a home phone and away your cell. Did not catch on very well. Jack

I disagree. I think it will catch on where and when its avalible. Its the same number for both, same voicemail. Woudl be attractive for a single person living in an apartment or something like that, but certainly not for a family. This is the first thing introduced that uses the same number without doing any forwarding at all.

Or you could just go all cellular and probably save yourself some money.
