Hey, just curious, whoever out there works for a wireless carrier, what kinds of deals do they offer you on your plans/phones?

I work for VW, we get no discounts on the phones. The plan that I have I pay $12.00 and get 1000 min unlimited n/w 1000 mobile to mobile. The web, voice gear, 400 text messages. what good is if I go over the min it is only .10 a min

Our plan are as low as $5 for 200 min unlimited n/weekend

We can have up to 3 #

Cingular employees who work directly for the big corporate entity can get a phone for $5 a month with unlimited everything. Cingular reps who don't work for the big entity but sell Cingular with an agent don't get squat. (I'm of the later type) [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

If I wanted to, they would let me get a $20/month plan that gives me 1000 day/1000 N/W and $7 worth of wireless interent for free. But I use more minutes than that so the plan doesn't help me.

I work for a VZW agent. I pay next to nothing for my phones but i dont get a discount on plans. although i do have a demo line on top of my regular plan. after the $100 rebate i actually made $40 on my vx4400. not a bad deal.
in the past i got my moto v60i for $10.00
and my motorola 270c for $20.
also paid nothing for the sony t61c and still got the $30 rebate.
the moto v200 was free.

VZN landline / former Bell Atlantic employees can get 20% off plans, except family share which are excluded. Unfortunately, those of us left who work for this "ship without a rudder" never really know when our discount could end due to layoff.
I'm an employee and I'm checking out T Mob for my personal needs.

corect if you work for cingular (corporate) you get everything for free. Unlimited everything (minutes, web, txt, ect..) even a free phone !

As an employee for Sprint we didn't get anything off the phone price but We got 1500 anytime mins and 500 n and w/e min per month free with vision..

Retail sales reps get company lines with unlimited LOCAL calling and free phone. Sales support staff (myself) have to pay 2yr promo price on equipment (only can upgrade once a year.) I'm on a plan for $12.50 a month for 500 peak, UNW, 1000 mtm, unlimited text messaging, mobile web, voice gear, and apparently first incoming minute free.

Unlimited express network is $49.

I'm not a TM employee, but I know a few.....I think they get:

1000 anytime minutes, free weekends, 5MB worth of t-zones, for $10.

awe gets free minutes in your area about 40 counties also reduces roaming rates. but we pay full price for a fon. i still have my 5160i still works good after 3 years

awe also gets free internet and text. i sent 9000 messages one month actually in 4 days and wasnt charged one cent. this was an extreme. 9000 not 900 or 90 but 9000. so we get a pretty good deal on the monthly service

I work for Verizon and have 3 phones and pay about $25-30 a month. We all have a ton of minutes, free web and txt, voicegear and mobile-mobile. I wont complain!
