I just don't understand this whole situation

Okay,

I know....VZ won't tell EVERYONE about something new coming out. BUTT, if they are gonna release this thing soon, don't they have to change the billing system; train people on the phones and service? I call VZ about every two days. I call the main # and I call both of my local stores. I get pretty much the same response.

BUTT, then I go on here and HoFo and at least two people say this thing is comin out soon. Yeah, I know it's gonna come out when it comes out, but I'm signing my life away in contracts for systems that keep getting bumped back.

Anyhoo, this post is not to negate anyone's info or start any type of trouble or arguments. I know the peeps on here have solid info, I'm really just pissed at Verizon and I'm trying to figure out how come most of their employees are SO in the dark.

I am a Verizon wireless employee... I take it your asking about the 2-way. It is not so much that we are in the dark. We are only limited to want we can sy. The reason of why we will not go into much detail is due to. The phone are but thru mths of testing. We can't promise any launch dates. Anyhoo.....I understand that certain info is not meant for the whole world to know. BUTT, when I was starting my 4th contract in September, I was told that PTT was coming in Feb. So, I spent every day counting down like a huge loser; until Feb came alone. Then in Feb they said March, then April, then May, then end of June/beginning of July.

They shouldn't have said anything at all. I'm on such a one track mind at this point that I want to give mine and my g/f phones away to get Nextels. If it's gonna be a year from last September, I could have used another network. Yeah I know Nextel sucks, but they do have some interesting things like unlimited internet.

If it's SUPPOSED to come out, and it gets pushed back, fine. BUTT, at least have the CS reps tell the same story. I have no problem waiting, I just don't like being pulled back and forth like a toy. As a huge cell phone geek I just want a straight answer.

Yeah you can say, "Get a life." But this is what I like to do....some like to play with model airplanes and some like to pop the pimples on their armpits....I like to play with my cellphone as if I was some kind of freakin secret service agent.

I'm in the same boat your in. I wish they would just give an accurate date!!!!! I was hoping today PTT would be released along with the new rate plans.

PTT was slated to come out for a while now. I dont think that anyone REALLY knows when its comming out. Dates are thrown around like like a high school cheerleader. however we know its comming we just dont know when. Are verizon reps holding back insider knowledge ? Guess well never know unless we work for them. But ill tell you as a former corp. rep for crapular we NEVER knew what was going on. however i think verizon is a little more organized than crapular. (i'd hope ) The managers never let us in on whats going on. Now that in a manager i dont make that mistake my employees always know whats going on in the company as soon as i hear it. I mean the reps are a BIG part of the company !

I hear ya, June is when the wanted to launch it. There was a 5 sec delay. Last I heard there was a 3 sec delay.

We were told that the T720 will have a soft wear upgrd where you will be able to use the 2 way

Training....lol ... The codes for our system and the plans will be the biggest pain. The 2 way phones will be just like any other.

They tend to go into more training with data, express network,air card, 7135 and black berri

I work for VZN Landline Network OPS. - The wireless group has little to do with us, but they share similar current day VZN startegies - Alot of SHOW, and not much go.
Let's see, who shall we eliminate today ?
