Hi, I just recently got nextel a week ago, and for some strange reason I cannot call my home number. Everytime I dial it, the automated lady says "were sorry but the number you reached is out of service" now why the hell do I need this kind of headache. I went over my 30 minutes, but would gladly cancel, and definetly not responsible for the cancelation fee. Every other number I call is fine, except my own HOME! Incoming calls are fine as well.. representatives are startled themselves. I have the i60, and wish I never got it, swithcing from tmobile. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening and a possible resolution? If not.. any suggestions on how to fight this war with nextel, and getting my account terminated w/o fees. Please help! Thanks All.

First, i would try little things, even if they don't seem to be the problem, check that you don't have any blocks on the phone itself such as only being able to call from the phone book or recent call list, next, double check your Nextel number to your home and make sure they are in the same calling area, maybe your phone requires an area code for your home #??? just some suggestions, i have the i95cl and have never had this problem. Last but not least, update software or take it back and switch it out for another one. Sounds like an issue with the network but who knows. Good Luck and let us know what works.

It is wierd it's only with your home number, you will need a level II tech to correct it. Sounds like the problem is stuck in the switch.
