Exclamation Can it be done? TAke a Nokia 3589i phone and switch over to use on the Virgin mobile

Hi

Does anyone think this can be done?

Just curious? but do you think I could take my spare Nokia 3589i phone that I have lying around and hack it so that I could use it for my husband's virgin mobile phone.

I mean the phone does have 1900 mhz capability....

Anyone out there know how to do this or have done it?
Heard about it being done with the slider... how about the Nokia.???

Hmm... yes, maybe.

Need someone to flash the phone with the PRI for Virgin and then load the PRL for Virgin.

Thats going to take an individual with the following:

1. Nokia service software with the correct cable and dongle.

2. A copy of Virgins latest PRI for a Nokia 3589i (if they have one at all).

3. A copy of Virgins PRL. (this of course can be loaded over the air if the previous steps are done)

Im not sure if you'll be able to find a Virgin store with service cables and software, I dont think they mess with that stuff (someone please correct me if im wrong). I believe all of Virgins phones are coming pre-loaded with the PRI and an initial PRL from their distributor (probably Brightpoint).
