When you flip the phone open the screen flashes intermittenly. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Sounds like a bad phone. I have the American version, the 6102i, and have never experienced anything like this. The screen shouldn't behave that way. You might want to take it to your carrier's retail outlet and have them look at it. This doesn't sound like a problem you could fix any other way.
