no message icon nokia 6131

Hi -- I hope someone can help me.

I have an ATT sim card --who's service Cingular no longer offers -- they suggested I buy a phone on ebay. I purchased an unlocked cellphone online -- this is the 3rd time I've done this and never had a problem.

I cannot see the message icon on my view screen. I called Nokia USA -- no help -- they told me to call att/cingular -- no help. I am on a Mac -- I tried to go onto UK website to get upgrade -- didn't work .

Does anyone know anyone in NY I can bring this to to get an upgrade -- I don't know anyone on PC here.

Unfortunately, NSU only supports OTA updates for 6131, which won't work in the US. Maybe you should send the phone to iunlock.com for flashing (or take it yourself if you're ever in Boston).
