Default Making the phone work hopefully...

Hey guys,
Quick question from a relatively inexperienced cell person. I am on alltel wireless as of right now and would like to keep the current plan as is because I get a good deal through my business, but my prob is that frankly the selection of phones alltel provides suck. I had my eye on the Nokia 8270, 3360, and 3390. I was given a 3360 that was used on cingular but was told it was not the right service setup to be activated. I guess my question is can I get any of the above phones activated on alltel and what do I have to do to ensure that the phone will be able to be activated with alltel serivce? My number one choice is the 3360 or 8270 but it seems as if the 3360 is only for att wireless and cingular and the Nokia 8270 is only for cricket? any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in Advance.

Ok, Maybe I have had a slight breakthrough. I found the unlock functions for the 3360 is there anyway I can reconfigure the phone to work right with alltel through there? also, what would i have to change and to what? and the other big difference is the ESN # is a different format under the battery on the 3360 as it is from my current 5185i, and alltel usually activates it with that number? Anyway I can make the switch? let me know and thanks!
