Hi there. When I'm inside my house the reception isn't good when phones pick up AT&T tower (1-2 bars) and is very good when they pick up Cingular (4 bars) (reads Extended area). I was told that I could set Nam2 on my phones to always point to Cingular network. I've set Nam2 SID to 29 and MobileID to my phone number. Now, when I pick Nam2 (2nd number in Own Number selection) and dial a number I get a busy signal. When I pick Nam1(1st number in Own Number selection) it works on AT&T as it should. What did I miss? Was there anything else I needed to do? I live in Philadelphia area (19115).

i think it doesnt work because your phone is locked to ATT, and therefore cannot pick up Cingular.

also, you have to be susbscribed with cingular, otherwise Cingular's system will not recognize your phone.

i have tried this before with no luck. but you never know, probably someday someone will find out how to do it.
