Yes Orioles, shut the phone off, turn it on go to menu, at your last option net monitor, click it and then put it code 3101. You should be there. Fair is fair can you tell me how to go from EVRC to 13kbs voice.

I have never heard of a secret menu before. Is this a relatively new feature on cell phones. Seth Elexa Consumer Products, Inc. www.elexacp.com |

Hi sethp, first welcome aboard and wishing you many happy calling hours. But to move on, the secret menu is not new, the reason you do not know about it is because it is a Secret. But, I will give you the information that is known only to a select few. On your set up screen type in*3001#12345#. You have now either made a long distance to call, which will cost all kinds of money or you are at the secret menu. You will note all types of choices here, unless you really know what you are doing the only one you would be interested in is test screen. Choose that one, chose activate, shut off your phone. Turn on your phone, go to the regular menu. Choose the last option, type in 3101. You can now tell, how much power your phone is putting out TX, how much it is receiving RX, Sid etc etc. To get rid of the screen just reverse the above procedure.

I have a question for all of you. I thought I would try this out on my 3589i phone. There are two numbers showing with the - sign in front ... which one is the rx number and such. it's says idle ....384 sc\ 52 1F -96 -72 keeps changing.... 0 0 0 on the 7000 it says sid..... mode.... c channel 0384 ac state 2 EC/lo -11.00 RX power -089... keeps changing and then some other stuff. What does all of this mean??? that I'm getting good reception??? not good reception. the lg is showing 2 out of 4 bars and the nokia is showing 3 our of 7or 8 i think. thanks! | |

Kelli, I think that if you hit the star button and keep it depressed for a short while, the screen shows the title for the various numbers. The lower the number the better for RX and TX. ie. -92 better than -99. 100 for the RX is trouble. |
