Nokia Introduces Five New Cell Phones for U.S. Market Nokia today introduced five new cell phones for the U.S. market that are based on the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) standard. The 3586i and the 6585 fashion phone have color screens. Nokia also introduced three lower-priced models, the 2270, 2280 and 2285 phones. The new model introductions are seen as part of Nokia's strategy to pull ahead of Motorola in the U.S. market. In the fourth quarter of 2002, Motorola pulled even with Nokia in the number of units shipped in the U.S. |
