I wanna find out how people are liking the Direct Talk feature in the newer NEXTEL phones.
If you aren't sure what feature that is:
Direct Connect is the walkie-talkie connection wherever you have service.
Direct Talk allows you to walkie-talkie someone when you are out of service as long as the two phones are within 6-7 miles of each other.
I know some people who like this when they are at their cabin (in the boonies).
What have you guys used it for?

I got it but never used it. Will have to try it sometime.

Do you have more than one phone on your plan?

No I have one I850 and my wife has her own plan with an I850. Why?

Some people have a Direct Talk phone but don't have a second one to use with it. Just curious if you did.

Never really had a need to use it Gopher but I might try it out to see how far the range is. Will let ya know.

It can be a handy feature. I have the Blackberry and it doesn't have it.

Anybody else have it and using it?
