Just got that phone from T-mobile. Every time I get a text message a warning "Memory low" comes up. After getting about 10 messages it is showing "Memory full" and will not let me receive or compose messages till I delete some.

Few times after deleting text messages I was getting this error:
"Memory still needed to receive messages: 4294370445 Kb" Somehow I doubt that someone is sending me a 4Tb worth of text messages

According to phone storage details I still have 11564 Kb free.
I have done a master reset and master clear. With phone completely blank the Message Memory meeter is showing 5 out of 6 dials full. It appears that if I am to add calendar entries, alarm clock, phonebook etc the amount of text messages i can receive drops to 1... And all that time my free memory does not go below 11000 Kb.

I am unable to locate an option to switch Text Message storage location to SIM card or Micro SD. Is there a way to do that, or possibly a mod/hack available to correct this issue?

Call T-Mo and have them reprovision your message settings on your account from their end.

I am switching to my old Nokia 6110, don't have this issue with a different phone... appears phone specific.
