| I have an IP security webcam at home that I can view on a PC and some people with a Mogul can view the live motion as well. However, I have a Moto Q 9c that will only allow me to view the static images, not the live motion. When I enter the normal web address for the camera, (i.e. leaving off the "/mobile" at the end, I get the camera controls and what appears to be a bunch of empty frames but no picture. Entering the "/mobile" gets me to the static image. If anyone has any idea as to why and what I need to do (or download) to make it work, I sure would appreciate your sending them to me. Thanks, Brad |

| probably deals with either java or javascript. I would say most likely java, basically you need a mobile java runtime installed on your phone. If you were to be able to tell me what type of camera it is I can probably find the rest out.

| Thanks nKrypteD1. It's a Panasonic IP Webcam (BLC 30). Works great. Panasonic provides the server. I have it set to use port 50000. I can get the static image on the Sprint Q9c is I add the "/mobile" extension to the url but not full motion. A neighbor with a Sprint Mogul can get it though. No Verizon phones can get either but I suspect that's a Verizon thing. I was just curious if there's an add on for Windows Mobile Standard that would allow it to access the streaming video feature. | Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413 es70) Have you tried accessing the URL through Windows Media Player? Some hacking to find the correct URL for the streaming video may be required. |

| Thanks Blue - I haven't (didn't know that was doable). I'll give it a shot and see what happens if I can figure out how to go about it. Brad |

| I may have found the answer: ViewCommander by Internet Video and Imaging Inc. According to their information, once downloaded, installed, and configured on a Smartphone, it allows viewing of webcams. Their customer support person was very informative and responsive and provided a link to a trial application. I'll give it a shot and see if it resolves my issue. Here's a link if anyone is interested: ViewCommander - View Network IP Cameras with Window's Mobile Smartphones & Pocket PC's and BlackBerry phones. |
