Question Which Motorola

Hi-

I'm trying to figure out which Motorola to purchase; the V551, V555, or V557.

I'm specifically curious about earpiece volume, call quality/reception, and durability overall, of the phone. Oh, a long-ish battery life (something I don't have to charge every day or 2 days) would be nice too.

Thanks,
Sesro1978

Basically all of them are the same phone. That particular model series is one of Moto's best. I had the V551 several years ago and it had excellent reception, good earpiece volume, and had a durable design. As far as the battery goes, it was fine, but this is more of a Moto battery issue. I never had any problems myself with the V551, but I've had other Moto phones with varying quality of batteries.

This should be a good, solid purchase for you (although the phones are quite dated).

The V551 is the best of all of them IMHO. There are slight diifferences between them. The V557 has that scrolling news ticker feature. I don't know if that's even supported anymore. When shopping around don't forget to also look at an unlocked V330. That's the TMO version of the V551.

Scrolling ticker is still going strong on my wife's V557 - not sure if it will work for new activations or just on existing accounts. Sorry for kicking up an old thread - haven't stopped in to WA in quite a while
